    As described in the IPv6 Requirement for X1 Apps, any services your X1 App may use must be able to communicate with the X1 Platform via IPv6. If your X1 App relies on an ad platform that cannot connect to the X1 Platform via IPv6, Comcast will provide an IPv6 to IPv4 proxy server that will allow the ad platform to connect with the X1 Platform using IPv4 for purposes of serving advertising within your X1 App. If your X1 App or the non-advertising content in your X1 App requires connection to an IPv4 endpoint, you are responsible for resolving that without the use of the Comcast IPv6 to IPv4 proxy server.

    Use of the Comcast IPv6 to IPv4 proxy server does not require any configuration or development on your part.

    If you need to utilize the Comcast IPv6 to IPv4 proxy server to enable your X1 App's ad platform, please reach out to your partner manager prior to Certification. If your X1 App has been deployed and you need to utilize the Comcast IPv6 to IPv4 proxy to support a new or different ad platform, please reach out to your partner manager prior to making the change in your X1 App.
